Sweden Rock and Skånska Spritfabriken present Feel the Beet—a completely new kind of rum-inspired liqueur shot that draws its roots from the farmlands of Skåne rather than Caribbean plantations. This is all about sugar beets, grown in the heart of Skåne.
Crafted from molasses sourced from Sweden’s only sugar refinery, Örtofta—just ten minutes from the distillery—Feel the Beet is a true distillate of its origin. Over 95% of the country’s sugar beets are grown in Skåne, making this drink as deeply rooted in the region as the rapeseed fields and the sweeping plains of southern Sweden.
“This isn’t a neutral base with added flavors—it’s a drink where every step of the process builds a natural and distinctive character. It’s the taste of Skåne, from farm to glass,” says Jan Rothman, CEO and Master Blender at Skånska Spritfabriken.
With an alcohol content of 32%, Feel the Beet sits at the crossroads between a liqueur and a shot. Its natural flavor is gently refined with caramelized sugar from Skåne and subtle notes of Buttery Toffee and Smooth Vanilla.

Tasting Notes
Color: Deep Brown
Aroma: Full-bodied, with clear notes of caramelized sugar, buttery toffee, and vanilla.
Flavor: Rich and balanced, with a distinct foundation of sugar beet molasses. Natural sweetness carries flavors of caramel sauce, licorice root, and a hint of cocoa. Buttery Toffee adds depth and warmth, while Smooth Vanilla rounds off and balances the alcohol.
Finish: Lightly spiced with echoes of caramel, licorice, and a subtle vanilla warmth.
Serving Suggestions: Drink as it is or make a small nice shot with coffee and cream on top. You can also use a larger glass and make a "Southern Coffee".
