SWEDEN ROCK RELEASES THIRD WHISKY IN COLLABORATION WITH HIGH COAST DISTILLERY
After two highly appreciated launches, the tradition continues with this year’s long‑awaited release: a nine‑year‑old peated Single Malt, first aged for seven years in bourbon casks and then finished for over two years in oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. The result is a powerful, character‑driven whisky with deep complexity and a clear identity.
The edition is limited to 3,600 bottles and will be released on 25 March.
"Creating yet another expression for Sweden Rock is something we look forward to every year. This time we wanted to go deeper, darker, and more complex – and the combination of bourbon and sherry casks delivered exactly what we were looking for. A robust smokiness meeting nuances of dark fruit, chocolate, and raisins. This is our most flavour‑intense festival whisky so far, and we believe many will be surprised by its balance,” says Linus Håkansson, CEO of High Coast Distillery.
Since its debut in 2015, the annual Sweden Rock whisky has become a cherished tradition for many visitors and collectors. This year’s release is the eleventh in total and the third consecutive edition from High Coast Distillery.

ABOUT SWEDEN ROCK 26 HIGH COAST SINGLE MALT WHISKY
This year’s whisky is built on High Coast’s peated recipe and is characterised by an elegant, clean, and distinct peat smoke. Seven years in bourbon casks have created a foundation of vanilla, oak, and caramelised notes, while the finishing period in oloroso and PX brings richer layers of dark fruits, raisins and dates, cocoa, soft chocolate, as well as dried fruit and gentle sherry sweetness.
